Met upon arrival and transfer to the hotel. Afternoon, boatcruise on the Brahmaputra to visit Umananda Island. Visit the Umananda temple as well as see the rare golden langurs who live here. Later proceed for the sightseeing of Kamakhya temple. The Kamakhya Temple is a shakti temple situated on the Nilachal Hill in western part of Guwahati city in Assam, India. It is the main temple in a complex of individual temples dedicated to different forms of the mother goddess that include Bhubaneshwari, Bagalamukhi, Chinnamasta, Tara, etc. It is an important pilgrimage destination for general Hindu and Tantric worshipers. It used be a place of human sacrifices in the past, but now a days only animal sacrifices are conducted.

Morning drive to Shillong for 4 hours. Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya, is a hill town in the north eastern part of India. It is situated at an altitude of 1496 meters above sea level. Afternoon visit of the Orchid park as well as walking tour of the old Khasi market.

Full day excursion to Cherapunjee through one of the most scenic routes of the country. Cherrapunjee is a small town located on the southern edge of Khasi Hills, a dissected plateau at an altitude of about 4823 feet (1484 m) above mean sea level. Cherrapunjee is locally and now officially known as ‘SOHRA’. Khasi people of Mon-Khmer origin inhabit it. At Cherrapunjee, June sees an average of 2,561.6 mm and July 3,168.9 mm. It rained 8,204.7 mm in July 1974 and in July 2004 it was 5014.6 mm, resulting in floods in downstream Bangladesh. The months of June and July put together account for 47.7% of the total annual rainfall here. Visit the water falls here as well as some of the show caves.

Morning drive to Kaziranga. Afternoon game drive in the park. This national park, sprawling over 430 square kilometres in the eastern state of Assam, is one of the last bastions of the endangered great indian one-horned rhinoceros, whose population was believed to have dropped to just 12 in the 1950s but has since increased to around 1500. Kaziranga’s stunningly beautiful landscape comprises savannah grassland, the green and fertile plains of the Brahmaputra River, as well as evergreen, moist deciduous and swamp forests, and is also a haven for over 300 species of birds, as well as wild elephants, Asiatic wild buffalos, tigers, leopards, sloth bears and many deer species. The park is open from 1st November to 30th June. It may be open in October also depending upon monsoon.

Early morning drive to Jorhat riverbank for two hours. Connect with public ferry to Majuli which may take anything from one hour to two hours to reach Kamlibari ghat. Proceed for the sightseeing of the various Vaishnav Satras here. Also visit the plain miris who live here.

Morning return ferry to Jorhat and then drive to Sibsagar. Afternoon sightseeing of Sibsagar. The Tai-speaking Ahoms came to the area from Yunnan, China, in the 13th century AD. Sibsagar was the capital of the Ahom kingdom in the 18th century, when it was called Rangpur; several temples remain from that period. The town is now a tea-processing town. The most remarkable landscape of the town is the 200 year old Sibsagar tank. On its banks are three temples-- the Shivadol, the Vishnudol and the Devidol-- all three built by Queen Madambika, wife of Siva Singha, in the year 1734. The Shivadol is believed to be the highest Siva Temple in India, having a height of 104 feet and the perimeter 195 feet. Also visit Rang Mahal which is the pleasure palace of the kings.

Morning drive to Dibrugarh stopping enroute to see various tea gardens from road side. After lunch, take a walk around the tea gardens around the hotel.
